In 1982, a transformative journey began in Ado-Odo, Ogun State, Nigeria — one that would spark a movement that resonates worldwide.
Shams-Ud-Deen Al-Islamiy (SUDAI) was founded by the visionary leader, Late Alhaji Sheikh (Dr). Abd. Hameed Aweda Olohungbemi (R.T.A), known as Ayeogbaro, driven by the desire to reform and uplift the Muslim Ummah through Islamic principles, social justice, and education.
A Vision Born from Faith
The story of SUDAI began with a clear mission — to redirect the Muslim community toward the authentic path outlined in the Holy Qur'an and the teachings of Prophet Muhammad (SAW).
The Humble Beginnings
On November 5, 1982, SUDAI was officially established in Ado-Odo by four committed individuals who shared Sheikh Aweda's vision for a better future for the Muslim Ummah.
Looking Forward
Today, SUDAI remains true to its founding mission of promoting the moral, educational, and spiritual reformation of the Muslim Ummah.
